Each year, the Visual Arts Department publishes a beautiful four-color hardbound museum quality portfolio, The Gift of Love, that showcases the exceptional and varied work of each of its students.  

The Gift of Love is underwritten by the Craig Charles Herst Memorial Endowment Fund in memory of Craig Charles Herst, by his mother Terry Herst. Craig was an art major at Colorado College, specializing in strong abstract plaster and canvas sculpture, and his work culminated in a successful one man show during his senior year. Sadly, his short life did not give him the opportunity to fully develop his artistic potential. Craig’s family and friends have generously contributed to this fund to remember his joy for life, and to give other talented students the chance that he did not have to fulfill their artistic dreams.
