LACHSA | VISUAL ARTS
Unique to the high school experience, LACHSA has an esteemed visual arts faculty composed of professional artists recognized in their field. Classes are supplemented by visiting artists, as well as field trips to LA museums and galleries. Students have exhibit opportunities throughout the year in professional venues and their work is produced in an annual Visual Arts Portfolio.

FACULTY & COURSES
The Visual Arts Department provides visual art students with skills and techniques in various media while focusing on concepts and ideas. The mandatory Freshman Foundation year focuses on basic skills, concepts and theory in 2-D and 3-D Art and Design.
The Foundation year is followed by a diverse curriculum in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Printmaking, Ceramics, Graphics, Illustration, Fashion, Experimental Film, and Animation. Students advance to a diverse curriculum that offers classes that include Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Ceramics, New Genres, Graphics, Illustration, Fashion, and Animation. ADMISSIONS
The LACHSA Visual Arts department welcomes students of all backgrounds and skill levels to apply! LACHSA's admission season is usually open between October and January.
To apply, you must meet a GPA minimum, submit an application, and participate in an audition. For more information, please click below:
